5 March YA Releases I Can’t Wait to Dig Into

It’s no secret that March is rolling out some great releases this year

The book community is practically buzzing. Every Tuesday there are new books to celebrate, so this Tuesday, I’m listing my most awaited releases of the month.

IN SIGHT OF STARS by Gae Polisner – March 13thThis one has to make the list. I beta read this manuscript way back in 2016, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a completed copy. I’ve been a Polisner fan since I read The Memory of Things, which was actually one of my first reviews on this blog, and I still recommend it. Her new release addresses mental health, family dynamics, new, and old friendships in a way that, quite literally, brought me to tears. Don’t miss out on this one!

OBSIDIO by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff – March 13th

Of course, this book is on here. I blame Mia one hundred percent for getting me sucked into this series, and ever since I finished Gemina, I have been dying to find out how this story ends. In case you need any more incentive to dive into this trilogy, it’s filled with unique storylines, wild twists, and, come on, the format? INCREDIBLE. READ IT.

EMERGENCY CONTACT by Mary H. K. Choi – March 27th

I actually only found out about this one a few weeks ago, and after reading some glowing reviews, I had to put it on my TBR. It’s about two people who get to know each other through text messages while trying to work out the issues of their home life.

CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE by Tomi Adeyemi – March 6thI’m actually embarrassed to have not read this yet because… I’ve had an ARC of it since YALLFest. I started it, if that counts for anything, but I was in a bit of a reading slump, and a fantasy as rich as this one just was not working out. So hopefully, soon, I’ll start it again with a clear mind, ready to fall in love.

THE BEAUTY THAT REMAINS by Ashely Woodfolk – March 6th

By a debut author, this book is making waves in the book community – I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things (from Angie Thomas no less, so I’m required to have this on my TBR). This is another book I’ve had an ARC of for a while, so I can’t wait to dig in. Seems like a tearjerker though, so I better have a few tissue boxes ready to go before I open it up.

  1. I haven’t heard of a couple of these so will have to look them up. I’ve been looking for a book that shows an online friendship so emergency contact sounds interesting.
