Most Anticipated Releases for the Rest of 2019

As the end of the year approaches, so do the end of year releases!

I feel like I was doing a decent job keeping up with new releases at the beginning of the year but now… I have certainly been overrun.

Nevertheless, time marches on and so must I! I figured I’d compile the books I’m hyped for in the final months of the year, not only for your entertainment, but also for myself to know just how much crying my wallet will be doing. (Hint: it’s a lot).

There Will Come a Darkness by Katy Rose Pool

There are so many things to love about this book: the cover, the ensemble cast, (what a hope will be) morally grey characters. Definitely gives off some Six of Crows energy, and I’m not mad about it at all. Releases September 3rd.

Well Met by Jen DeLuca

Me? An adult romance? If I do pick this up, it will be my first! I’ve been watching adult romances from afar these past few months, thanks to a lot of new bloggers and booktubers I’ve been following that read a lot of it, and it’s time for me to hop on the train! Plus, this is set at a Ren Fair and it sounds super nerdy and cute and I want it. Releases September 3rd.

The Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett

After reading and adoring Alex, Approximately this summer, I’ve decided that I must read every book she writes and this is one of them! If I’m not mistaken, this will be her first historical fiction novel and I have no doubt it will be awesome. Releases September 3rd.

The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young

I adored Sky in the Deep when I read it last year, and since this companion involves a side character from that book, I am 100% on board for Vikings Part Two. Releases September 3rd.

American Royals by Katherine McGee

I wasn’t going to include this one on the list, but honestly, it’s popping up everywhere and I can’t ignore it anymore! Plus, every time I read the synopsis, I get pulled in further: the intrigue, the rebellion, the drama, the cover. I feel like this is going to have a host of fun and rambunctious characters that I can’t wait to meet. Releases September 3rd.

Sidenote: Why is that all the books I’m excited for are releasing on the same day? How am I supposed to keep up? A Greek tragedy.

Michigan vs. The Boys by Carrie S. Allen

I read Cold Day in the Sun earlier this year, and ever since then, I’ve wanted to read another female hockey story. This one is definitely going to have a more serious tone, but that’s one of the reasons I’m looking forward to it. I think it’s going to have some really important messages about women in sports. Releases October 1st.

The Burning Shadow by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I’m such Jennifer E. Armentrout paranormal romance trash. I will admit to that, proudly. And here we are, with the sequel to The Darkest Star, which is already a spinoff of the Lux series. To be honest, I’m too far down this rabbit hole to stop now and I wouldn’t ever want to. Releases October 8th.

The Library of Lost Things by Laura Taylor Namey

Ever since I read Words in Deep Blue, like, two year ago, I’ve wanted to read another library/bookstore set romance and here it is, folks. This book follows Darcy who works at a bookstore and struggles to deal with her mother’s obsessive hoarding. She’s a book lover (#relatable) but when she meets Asher, a former teen pilot (!!!) and starts to fall for him, she learns that the real world is a whole lot more complicated than the one she finds in books. I could just melt. Releases October 8th.

Gravemaidens by Kelly Coon

Even though I do have an e-ARC of this one, it’s still taking place on this list so I can SCREAM about it. Sisters, Sumerian fantasy, spookiness… basically a perfect October read, in my humble opinion.

I’m actually on the street team for this book, and working with Kelly Coon has been so incredible. She’s got an amazing preorder and library request campaign going on with some awesome prizes, so be sure to check it out! Releases October 29th.

When the Stars Lead to You by Ronni Davis

I’ve been anticipating this one since it even had a cover. And now that it does, I love it even more. Sounds like it’s gonna be a contemporary on the heavy side that I can’t wait to get emotionally invested in. Releases November 12th.

The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black

Have I read The Wicked King yet? No. Do I know when I’ll be reading it? Also no. And yet… here this book sits. I’m using this as my accountability to actually READ THAT FREAKIN’ BOOK before the final one comes out and I get spontaneously spoiled. Here’s hoping I actually do it. Releases November 19th.

For the sake of my wallet and my TBR, I actually don’t have any anticipated December releases. This month is usually a slow one for book releases, and of the books coming out, I’m not super excited for any of them.
